Position Title: Maintenance Manager

Compensation and Benefits:
- Salary range is $95,000 - $115,000 annually
- Benefits include bonus potential, health, dental and vision insurance, 401k with 4% company match, equity shares, sick and vacation leave
Position Summary: The Maintenance Manager leads the maintenance project plan, maintenance safety program and SQF maintenance plan for the facilities. Supports production efforts by providing technical support to the plant management team on maintenance strategies, project work, and equipment issues. Responsible for assisting in the planning and executing the maintenance, installation, and/or repair of all physical property, including refrigeration system, production operations systems, mechanical systems, and buildings. Building professional relationships both internally and externally.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide maintenance perspective to process flow, production layout and material flow to develop high efficiency operations. Assist in development and implementation of capital projects to improve safety, correct deficiencies, improve efficiency, increase output, support new products and/or reduce cost. Prepare and solicit bids, award contracts, and manage projects to completion. Provide monthly reports updating the status of capital projects.
- Constantly be aware and suggest engineering changes to improve plant efficiency.
- Select engineering techniques to solve problems and make design or process recommendations. Contribute to successful design or process completion by participating in the resolution of issues such as conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of standard material, and difficult coordination requirements. Assist in determining scope and objectives to contribute to the development of a comprehensive project design or process.
- Supervise contractors ensuring compliance with bid specifications and compliance with all EHS policies while onsite. Supervise the installation of all capital equipment. Ensure successful completion of the assignment or phase assignment within the budgeted time and cost constraints. Direct preparation of appropriate documentation. Control maintenance and capital budgets within the established guidelines.
- Keep adequate records and drawings of all new, existing or modified plant equipment, buildings and utilities.
- Champion health and safety by maximizing a safe environment and maintaining a trained workforce. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements related to equipment and safety.
- Provides supervision and guidance to maintenance team.
- Lead all SQF maintenance and assist with all engineering projects.
- Adhere to maintenance expense budgets.
- Maintain and communicate PM schedules.
- Suggest and lead improvements in equipment downtime.
- Manage maintenance employee hours and OT to within guidelines.
- Design and implement development programs for employees.
- Manage department’s utilization of CMMS to track, schedule, assign, and document maintenance work orders.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment history.
Supervisory Responsibility:
- This position will have direct supervision responsibilities for Maintenance Supervisor(s), and indirect supervisory responsibilities for all maintenance technicians.
- This position serves as a backup for the Maintenance Supervisor
Qualifications / Education / Experience Desired:
- At minimum, Associate degree or technical certification in a related field required; Bachelors degree in engineering or similar field preferred.
- 5-10 years of plant maintenance management experience, preferably in food manufacturing environment
- Ability to interpret miscellaneous mechanical drawings and schematics.
- Deep understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical processes in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with electrical systems, conveyors, power equipment vehicles within a manufacturing facility.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other associates of the organization.
- Must be familiar with a production environment under FDA, SQF and HACCP guidelines.
- Experience with CMMS implementation and utilization required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc)
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Language/Mathematical/Reasoning Ability:
- Must be able to write and speak, both clearly and effectively
- Ability to read, write, and understand documents in English, such as Equipment Manuals, Master Safety rules, Good Manufacturing Practices, Standard Operating Procedures, and general instructions
- Proficient mathematical skills with formulas, measurements, weights, temperatures, times and general numbers
- Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Bilingual Spanish/English a plus
Supervision Given:
- This position will report to the Plant Engineer.
- The Plant Engineer serves as a backup of the Maintenance Manager.
- The position holder is expected to be able to work with minimal oversight at times, able to confidently handle situations on their own.

- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 15 pounds (Frequently) and up to 50 pounds (Occasionally)
- Must be able to exert a push/pull force of up to 50 pounds (Occasionally)
- Required to walk and climb steps (Occasionally)
- Must balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch (Occasionally)
- Must be able to operate in congested areas (Occasionally)
- Must be able to operate maintenance tools and equipment
- Must be able to work from a scissor/articulating lift at heights up to and including 30 feet
Must be able to traverse the entirety of Company’s 125,000 square foot manufacturing facility
Work Environment:
This position is required to work onsite in our Loveland, CO facility
Travel Required: Limited – May need to go off-site for equipment training, safety/food safety training, vendor meetings, and other short duration items.
